HASTINGS OLD TOWN ROOFS
Hastings is best known for its connection with the Battle of Hastings in 1066 which actually occurred north of the town at Senlac Hill in Battle. Hastings was one of the Cinque ports, It still has the largest beach based fishing fleet in England.

Hastings old town roofs. Being cradled in the valley between two hills means Hastings Old town can be viewed in its entirety either from the West or the East .

HASTINGS ROOFS: ORANGES...
Orange light light on the roofs of Hastings Old Town viewed from the West Hill with St Clements church just below the brow of the hill. This and Hastings Roofs:...Lemons Were painted together and provisionally titled Oranges and Lemons because of their respective colours - the titles became permanent when I realised the Church in the foreground of Oranges is Clements!
